Sticky rice has high content of amylopectin and a low content of amylose, which means that the rice grains completely stick together with each other when they are prepared.
Sticky rice is a staple in North East Thailand know as Isaan and also in Laos.
Kaset Glutinous Rice can also be used to make desserts for example a coconut sticky rice with mango.
